more updates 11/27/2007

wrote out the bass and guitar tab tutorials. didn't take nearly as long as i thought it would, that's for sure. i still need to write out how to read drum tabs, which may be a little trickier.

received an email today from cindy widner about girls' rock and roll camp in austin. i think my band, follow that bird!, may play the benefit show and i know that we're all pretty interested in teaching lessons. check out the link or get in contact with cindy [cynkwi@gmail.com] if you are interested in helping out/donating/etc. they have tons of areas you can help out with! they need volunteers for everything from legal aid, donations, and flyer design, so email cindy if you are interested.

more things to do!

busy little bee 11/21/2007

although i felt like doing things tonight, i'm glad everybody was busy/had previous plans because i got a lot accomplished on the website. i basically went through and made sure that every page had the correct title, links, back button options, etc. it took a lot of time but i feel so much better knowing it's all taken care of. now i'm just left with the hard part - explaining how to play three different instruments over the internet!

a friend mentioned i could try to use video clips to teach the instruments; although, i'm not sure i really have time to record/edit/post all of that. ironically enough, i do have time to write/draw out how to read tabs, create tabs, scan these images, post them, and explain them in a way that will make sense.

in other news: received a response from lauren larson of ume today. she's up for the interview so i think i will email her those questions after thanksgiving. that should give me plenty of time to post them in whatever format i decide on.

i'm excited that a musician from a band i love so much is interested in working with me, even if it is just for a school project.

i want to write a lot more but blah blah, nobody cares and it's 2:30am and i am stupid and have class in 5 hours. zzZzzZzzZzZ. goodnight.

post numero uno 11/14/2007

I just started on the website today and it's running pretty smooth so far! I originally thought a page of artists to check out would be an essential feature to the site but after sitting down and working with it, thought maybe a blog would be better way to showcase artists. Blogging is so in, you know. Although I love music and love to play music, my knowledge can be very limited so this will be a great way readers and friends may not only have some input on the site, but also share bands or musicians they love with others!

If you have any suggestions you may email them to
tiffanie.lanmon@gmail.com . I'll try to post new things every so often!
